Beginning our study of 1 Peter;
“Our Apostle Peter”
Here we are at the beginning of our study of the Epistle of 1 Peter. As we read what it is that Peter has to say, we are driven to understand Peter from his experiences with the Lord. Peter is one of the very first apostles and was with Jesus all through his earthly ministry. He experienced seeing the water becoming wine, to Jesus resurrection and ascension. Quite a breadth of not only experience but also of understanding.
As Peter writes to the small churches he addresses himself to, his theme is the encouragement of those believers and us as well.
Hope, joy, a bright future are all the things Peter wants to express as we study his First Epistle.
